Position:

Logistics Supervisor II

Primary Function:

The Logistics Supervisor ll will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of all shipping, workload labor planning and personnel issues within the warehouse operations. Position will be responsible for communication to the customer concerning any shipping variances and their root causes; also responsible for all training of shipping personnel. The position will report to the Facility Manager. Will be a contact point for problem resolution.

Additional responsibilities include, quality assurance, process development and continuous improvement. Responsible for performing the beginning and end of day processes. This person will communicate with several internal departments, as well as the customer and external suppliers. This person will also be responsible for achieving pre-determined goals in the following areas: safety, units per hour, staffing, housekeeping, and quality assurance.

Warehouse Knowledge

  • Production and labor planning / Optimization

  • Prepare complete concise inventory reports to customer and internal management
  • Reconcile SAP and WMS transactions
  • Communicate and resolve all issues relating to the inventory and report to management any concerns
  • Complete scrap transactions
  • Report root cause analysis for inventory variances to internal and external management
  • Physical vs system reconciliations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, to include, EXCEL, WORD, etc.

Experience

This position requires 2-4 years supervisory experience (education may substitute for years of experience) providing overall direction, implementation, and continuous improvement of logistics solutions in all phases of warehousing and distribution.
