Thomas W. Clark is executive vice president of operations for Con-way Freight Inc., the largest of Con-way Inc.’s three primary operating companies. Con-way Inc. is a $5.3 billion transportation and logistics company providing high-performance, day-definite less-than-truckload (LTL) and full truckload and intermodal freight transportation, as well as logistics, warehousing and supply chain management services, and trailer manufacturing.
Mr. Clark has overall executive responsibility for the entire North American operations team, including strategic planning, process design and execution as well as directing the company’s continuous improvement strategies.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Clark was Area Vice President of Operations for the company’s Eastern Area. He first joined the corporation as a Freight Operations Supervisor in Albany, N.Y. in 1985.
An executive with 30 years of experience in the transportation industry, Mr. Clark started his transportation career with McLean Trucking based in Newburgh, NY.
Mr. Clark has a bachelor of arts degree in Rhetoric and Communications from Albany University in Albany, N.Y. He is based at Con-way Freight’s headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI.
