Craig Jackson Named VP of Sales for Con-Way Central Express

ANN ARBOR, MI - Apr. 17, 2006 - Con-Way Transportation Services, Inc. (Con-Way), a subsidiary of CNF Inc. (NYSE: CNF) today announced that Craig Jackson has been promoted to vice president of sales for its less-than-truckload carrier, Con-Way Central Express (CCX).

Jackson will be the senior executive responsible for sales policies and procedures, staffing, sales performance, pricing strategies, sales training, sales leadership planning, and personnel development. He will also be accountable for margin management, and the management of all synergistic opportunities with other Con-Way operating companies and Menlo Worldwide.

“Craig’s operations, sales experience and in-depth knowledge of the Con-Way organization will be invaluable as we more forward. His accomplishments and qualifications speak for themselves,” said David L. Miller, president of CCX. Jackson will report to Miller. 

A 33-year transportation veteran, Jackson began his career with CCX in April 1985 as an account executive in Louisville, KY.  In 1989, he was promoted to service center manager at Lexington, KY and later that same year was promoted to service center manager for Louisville. In June of 1994, he was named service center manager at the Philadelphia, Pa. service center.  Two years later he was promoted to region manager of the New England region and held that position until May of 1998 when he was named director, quality assurance at Con-Way Central’s corporate office in Ann Arbor, MI.  

Jackson is a former president and member of the board of directors of the Transportation Club of Louisville and served on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Motor Transportation Association and Elizabethtown Area Transportation Club.
