Con-way Freight Driver Receives First Oregon Driver of the Month Award
Rachael Lindsey Honored for Exceptional Service
ANN ARBOR, Mich., and PORTLAND, Ore. - April 09, 2007
Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload freight carrier and a subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that its driver, Rachael Lindsey, was recognized as the first local Driver of the Month by the Oregon Trucking Associations' (OTA) Safety Management Council. Rachael Lindsey, a Con-way Freight driver from Vancouver, Wash., was honored by the organization as the January Driver of the Month at a March luncheon held in Portland.
January 2007 kicked off the OTA’s Safety Management Council Driver of the Month recognition program by selecting one over-the-road and one local driver as the best and safest drivers in Oregon. Lindsey was nominated by her Con-way Freight service center manager for her safe and courteous driving as well as for her exemplary leadership, outstanding customer service and active involvement in training new drivers.

A native of Portland, Ore., Lindsey has been a driver for Con-way Freight for two years and has seven years’ total driving experience. Currently residing in Vancouver, Wash., she enjoys camping, fishing, biking and beach-combing. She is also a member of Highway Watch and serves as a mentor and leader in her operation.
