Con-way Truckload Recognizes Second Quarter Drivers of the Month

Company Honors 18 Drivers for Outstanding Service, Dedication to Safety

JOPLIN, Mo. - August 03, 2009

Con-way Truckload, a full truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced its Drivers of the Month for April, May and June 2009. The following 18 drivers were recognized for their exceptional performance:

April

• Company Driver of the Month: Jim Gilley joined Con-way Truckload in 2004, has been driving professionally for 15 years and has accumulated nearly 700,000 career miles. He lives in Alexandria, La., with his wife, Janette. When he’s not on the road, he enjoys taking time to relax.

• Company Team of the Month: Richard Dyer and Richard Dyer II have been driving a combined 15 years — Richard for seven and Richard II for eight. Residents of Laredo, Texas, the father/son driving team enjoys bass fishing and riding their motorcycles. Richard II has a daughter, Madison.

• Contractor Driver of the Month: Thomas Rice became a professional driver 33 years ago to pay for college and joined Con-way Truckload in 1987. He lives in Arden, N.C., where he rides motorcycles and spends time with friends when he isn’t driving.

• Contractor Team of the Month: Stacy and Donna Moran have been driving for Con-way Truckload since 1995 and 1998, respectively. Married for 25 years, the Granbury, Texas, couple has two children, Tracy and Brad, and five grandchildren. In their spare time, Stacy enjoys fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle, while Donna enjoys spending time with the grandchildren.

• Company Driver of the Month: Randy Simon has been a professional truck driver for 22 years and joined Con-way Truckload in 2007. He has driven more than 219,000 miles for the company. A resident of Jackson, Mich., he has a son, Kyle. When he’s not on the road, Randy likes to watch and play sports.

• Company Team of the Month: Lauren and Wanda Rodd became Con-way Truckload drivers in 2008 and have driven professionally for 16 years. The Rocky Mount, Mo., couple has three children and 17 grandchildren. In their free time, Lauren enjoys fishing and Wanda enjoys sewing, while both like to visit with their grandchildren.

• Contractor Driver of the Month: Victor Fierro began his professional driving career with Con-way Truckload in 1995, and has traveled more than 1.5 million miles since. He lives in El Paso, Texas, where he enjoys spending time with his family when he’s not driving.

• Contractor Team of the Month: Sokphat Sao and Mom Prom have driven more than 600,000 miles with Con-way Truckload. Sokphat has been a professional driver for six years, while Mom started her driving career as a student with the company in 2007. In their spare time, the Lexington, N.C., residents enjoy spending time with their children and riding motorcycles.

• Company Driver of the Month: Thomas Andrews joined Con-way Truckload in 1992, at the beginning of his professional driving career. When he has time off, he spends it cooking, watching TV, and doing work at his house. He currently lives in Keller, Texas.

• Company Team of the Month: Doug Morgan and Cathy Dufrene began driving professionally in 1996 and became one of the original Con-way Truckload driver teams in 2005. Doug has one son, Travis, and two grandsons. Cathy has two children, Felicia and Gary, and four grandchildren. When they’re not driving, the Charlotte, N.C., team enjoys taking cruises with friends. Doug also likes photography and growing bonsai trees, while Cathy spends her time cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

• Contractor Driver of the Month: Roger Parker joined Con-way Truckload in 2006, hasbeen a professional driver for 14 years and has driven more than 376,000 miles for the company. He currently lives in Ridgely, Tenn., with his wife, Becky.In his time off, Roger enjoys fixing old cars and working in his yard.

• Contractor Team of the Month: John and Sherry Hufford of Bell, Fla., became professional drivers in 1995 and have driven more than 2.1 million miles since joining Con-way Truckload in 2000. The couple has two children, Jayce and Shan, and a granddaughter, Shaylynn. When they’re not driving, they enjoy saltwater fishing and spending time with their granddaughter.
