(NYSE:CNW) today reported net income from continuing operations for the second quarter of 2006 of $74.1 million (after preferred stock dividends), or $1.40 per diluted share. The results were an increase of 11.0 percent over second-quarter 2005 net income from continuing operations (after preferred stock dividends) of $66.8 million, or $1.20 per diluted share.
