Con-way Freight Named 2008 LTL Carrier of the Year by Whirlpool Corporation

Con-way Inc. Sends a Record 89 Drivers to National Truck Driving Championships
July 27, 2009 - Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) today announced that it will send 89 drivers — one-third more than ever before — to the 72nd annual American Trucking Associations (ATA) National Truck Driving Championships in Pittsburgh Aug. 18-22. A total of 88 Con-way Freight drivers and one Con-way Truckload driver will participate, after qualifying by winning first place in any of nine equipment classes in state competition. Last year, 67 Con-way Freight driver sales representatives took part in the event.
Con-way Inc. Reports Second-Quarter 2009 Results
July 24, 2009 - Con-way Inc. (NYSE:CNW) today reported net income to common shareholders for the second quarter of 2009 of $31.5 million (after preferred stock dividends), or 64 cents per diluted share. The results compared to second-quarter 2008 net income to common shareholders (after preferred stock dividends) of $48.7 million, or $1.02 per diluted share. The 2008 second-quarter net income included a net gain from discontinued operations of 4 cents per diluted share.
Menlo Worldwide Logistics Selected by Teachers' Curriculum Institute for Warehouse Management
July 07, 2009 - Menlo Worldwide Logistics, the global logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that it has launched a program for Teachers' Curriculum Institute (TCI) to manage warehouse and distribution operations serving customers in the Midwest and U.S. East Coast regions.
