Con-way Freight Honored with Ryder Carrier Quality Award
Company Recognized for Outstanding Performance, Service and Innovation

Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that it has won a 2009 Ryder Transportation Management Carrier Quality Award from Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R). Ryder presented the award to Con-way Freight at a recent recognition event in Novi, Mich.

Ryder chose Carrier Quality Award winners based on a numerical judging system based on criteria including on-time service, claims performance, customer service, technology, economic value and innovation. This year marked the 13th that Ryder has presented awards to selected carriers.
