Todd Matthias Named Director of Pricing for Con-way Freight-Central

ANN ARBOR, MI - Jun. 26, 2006 - Con-way Freight, a subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) today announced that Todd Matthias has been promoted to director of pricing for its less-than-truckload carrier, Con-way Freight-Central in Ann Arbor, Mich.

In his new position Matthias will be responsible for the execution of pricing agreements reached between the company and its customers. Pricing agreement management will involve customers with single shipping destinations as well as national accounts with multiple shipping and receiving locations. The company provides regional less-than-truckload freight services for commercial and industrial shippers.

Matthias began his career with Con-way in November of 1994 as an account manager in the company’s Business Development Center. In October of 1995 he was promoted to night auditor and in June of 1996 was promoted to pricing analyst. In June of 1999, he was named supervisor of pricing and in October 2003 was promoted to manager of pricing. His most recent promotion to national account executive was in September 2005.  Matthias graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. He will report to Craig Jackson, vice president of sales.
