Con-way Truckload Honors April and May Drivers of the Month

12 Drivers Recognized for Outstanding Safety and Performance Records

JOPLIN, Mo. - Jun. 23, 2008 - Con-way Truckload, a full-truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced its monthly driver award recipients for April and May 2008:

April

  • Company Driver of the Month: Catherine Anderson began driving professionally 14 years ago and joined Con-way Truckload in 2007. When at home in Bonne Terre, Mo., she enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
  • Company Team of the Month: Richard Dyer and Richard Dyer II reside in Laredo, Texas. Dyer began driving professionally seven years ago and Dyer II has been driving for eight years. At home, they both enjoy bass fishing and riding their motorcycles.
  • Contractor Driver of the Month: Ricky Hilaire joined Con-way Truckload in 1996. He lives in Alamogordo, N.M., with his wife, Teresa. In his free time, Hilaire enjoys spending time with his family and raising chickens.
  • Contractor Team of the Month: Robert Cuthbertson and Sheri McPhee have driven more than one million miles with Con-way Truckload. Residents of Stewart, Tenn., Robert enjoys building custom Harley Davidson motorcycles, and Sheri enjoys gardening and reading.

  • Company Driver of the Month: Stanley (Bo) Catlett joined Con-way Truckload in 2005 and has been driving professionally for nine years. Catlett enjoys spending time with his wife and relaxing when at home in Roff, Okla.
  • Company Team of the Month: James and Charlene Suel became part of the Con-way Truckload team in 2007. James has been driving professionally for 21 years, while Charlene has been driving for 17 years. The Suels have been driving as a team for 13 years. They reside in Louisville, Ky.
  • Contractor Driver of the Month: Jim Cory began his professional truck driving career 44 years ago and has driven more than 2.7 million miles. He joined Con-way Truckload in 1979. Cory lives in Joplin, Mo., and enjoys antique cars when he's not on the road.
  • Contractor Team of the Month: Sokphat Sao and Mom Prom reside in Lexington, N.C. Sokphat has been driving professionally for five years and joined Con-way Truckload in 2006. Mom began driving for Con-way Truckload in 2007. In their spare time, the two enjoy spending time with their family and riding motorcycles with their kids.

Each driver and team is automatically nominated for the 2008 year-end driver of the year award in their respective categories. Drivers of the year receive a cash prize and commemorative plaque, wrist watch and custom jacket, and are inducted into the Con-way Truckload Hall of Fame at the company's headquarters in Joplin, Mo. All full-time over-the-road drivers who have been certified as Con-way Truckload drivers for one year are eligible. However, they must be free of moving violations, accidents and out-of-service violations through state/federal inspections during the previous 12 months.
