Menlo Worldwide Logistics Named to Food Logistics' 2009 Top 70 3PLs
Company Recognized for Excellence in Meeting the Needs of Companies Throughout the Food Supply Chain
SAN MATEO, Calif. - October 19, 2009
Menlo Worldwide Logistics, the global logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that it has been named to Food Logistics’ 2009 Top 70 3PLs. Editors chose the winning 3PLs from nominations submitted by end users and solution providers. The full list is available online and in the July/August issue of Food Logistics.
“Selecting the right 3PL is vital to the success of a company’s overall operations — it’s a long-term commitment,” said Katherine Doherty, editor-in-chief, Food Logistics. “Companies need to have an organized process for selecting and working with a potential 3PL as well as a list of appropriate candidates. For the past three years, Food Logistics has issued a list of its Top 50 3PLs that consistently support food companies in improving their operations. This year, the publication opted to add 20 more providers to the list. Editors selected 3PLs that offer a wide range of services aimed at reducing costs, increasing flexibility and improving performance.
