Solo Driver

An independent spirit and drive to succeed led Diana Prieto to become a driver for CFI (now Con-way Truckload) in 2000. What she didn't know was that she was going to acquire another family, too, because as she says, at Con-way she is "treated like family." Working for CFI has provided Diana with the opportunity and means for financial independence. After struggling for years, she is now a homeowner, and is able to send her kids to better schools. Most importantly, Diana feels that her driving career has inspired her to be a better person.

Diana lives her life to the fullest, and with Con-way she is able to continue in a career that she finds challenging and exciting. Working out of Laredo, Texas, Diana leads an independent life driving throughout the 48 contiguous states and Canada. Her career as a Con-way driver allows her to see many places. Diana is a single mother with two children, but her driving career gives her the flexibility to spend quality time with them.

As a female solo driver, Diana is atypical, but she encourages other women to follow in her footsteps. She truly enjoys her work and responsibilities, is proud of what she does, and is pleased to say that her peers treat her as an equal on the road. At Con-way, opportunities abound for independent people looking for more from their careers.
