"At Con-way, I've taken my passion for IT and turned it into a rewarding career."

Jeon Rezvani
Sr. Mgr. Enterprise Architecture

Con-way Enterprise Services, Portland, Ore.

With Con-way since 2001

Working for a great company is good. Working for a great team is even better. This is what Jeon Rezvani, senior manager of enterprise architecture, has found at Con-way. His job is to provide leadership and oversight to the enterprise architecture team, a group that works together to define, mobilize, and execute complex and diverse IT initiatives to grow and enable the business. His job entails developing strategies to ensure that quality solutions are delivered efficiently and effectively. One of his team sayings is: “The solutions of today should not become the problems of tomorrow.”

Jeon’s career at Con-way developed its roots long before he began his professional life. During his early years, he spent the majority of his time playing online computer games, where he led teams of people. Jeon went on to learn programming, and eventually became a professional game developer. Realizing he also possessed consulting skills, Jeon became an IT consultant at Emery Worldwide. He then became a technical architect at Con-way, was promoted to Manager of Technical Architecture, and is now a Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture.

For Jeon, one of the best things about working for Con-way is the culture. He genuinely respects the company values of collaboration, integrity, commitment and excellence, and admires Con-way for upholding them with such strength. “These are values that I personally believe in,” he says. “I don’t see them as just a ‘culture du jour’ at Con-way. I see them as lasting, regardless of what is on our posters or who is leading the company.” Jeon also finds team dynamics fascinating, and enjoys figuring out how to inspire his colleagues to achieve. He is currently writing a book about leadership in the virtual world of online games. He knows that Con-way values team dynamics and his efforts to continually improve the working dynamics between people.
