Account Management

"I enjoy encouraging others to improve and grow within their positions."

Morgan Anderson
Director of Account Management

Menlo Worldwide Logistics, Concord, NC

With Menlo since 2003

Morgan Anderson defines job satisfaction as a combination of four key elements: the right salary, great benefits, opportunity for growth and a feeling of empowerment. Morgan has found this combination in his role as director of account management at Menlo Worldwide Logistics, where he makes great things happen for customers while serving as a mentor for his team.

As manager of three major transportation accounts for Menlo Worldwide Logistics, Morgan is responsible for developing solutions for each customer’s specific service requirements. He builds teams, interfaces with customers, and makes decisions about which resources (both people and transportation assets) best address and serve a particular customer’s shipping situation. Ultimately, he must find ways to deliver value to customers in every facet of their shipping processes.

Morgan believes that his work at Menlo Worldwide Logistics has enhanced his lifestyle by allowing him to use his entrepreneurial skills. “My job satisfaction level has increased dramatically,” he says, “and my individual skill development has continued with the training and exposure to multiple businesses at Menlo.” According to Morgan, that means he is a more productive and more satisfied person all around.

Morgan truly enjoys the people he works with each day, and has had the satisfaction of being able to promote several people and watch their careers flourish. He finds that being a small part of another person’s career development is very rewarding. Additionally, he likes the challenge of continually delivering value to Con-way customers. He is given the space he needs to work independently, and is encouraged by the company to take ownership of the business at large. Con-way places him in challenging roles and then gives him the opportunity, authority and responsibility to improve and grow.
