Request for Information (RFI)

Write a Request for Information (RFI) document to elicit information about how the 3PLs' capabilities and geographic coverage align with key attributes.
- Design the RFI in a manner that will facilitate comparisons across 3PLs.
Select list of candidate 3PLs to receive RFI.
Execute mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with each 3PL.
Send out the RFI, allowing the 3PLs at least two weeks to respond.
Evaluate the RFI responses and develop list of qualified 3PLs to receive an RFP. Consider limiting the short list to three or four 3PLs.
