Laredo, Texas resident Ashley Ortiz, daughter of Con-way Freight employee Jesus Ortiz of the Laredo facility, has been awarded a $1,200 scholarship from the Con-way Scholarship Program. Ashley, a graduate of United High School, will be entering her third year at the University of New Mexico where she studies Anthropology. On campus, Ashley is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the UNM Undergraduate Anthropology Society and the university's Relay for Life team.
