Portland, Ore., resident Chase Smith, son of Con-way Freight employee Van Smith of the Portland facility, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Con-way Scholarship Program. Chase recently graduated from La Salle Catholic College Prep where he was a member of the swim team and a National AP Scholar. He will attend the University of California at Berkeley in the fall where he plans to study Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
