Newburgh, N.Y., resident Barbara Villena, daughter of Con-way Freight employee Pedro Villena of the Montgomery facility, has been awarded a $1,600 scholarship from the Con-way Scholarship Program. Barbara, a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, will be entering her junior year at Fordham University where she studies Communications. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society. As a journalist for the Viking Newspaper and recipient of the Journalism Curriculum Award, her future in journalism is very bright.
