La Mirada, Calif., resident Vanessa Ramirez, daughter of Con-way Freight employee David Ramirez of the Santa Fe Springs facility, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Con-way Scholarship Program. Vanessa attended La Mirada High School where she was a member of the Swim team and the Youth-In-Government City Council. She will attend the University of California, Santa Barbara in the fall where she plans to study Psychology.
